Throughout the week, the student leaders dedicated their time and talents to building, painting, and preparing seven Little Free Libraries that will soon be installed throughout our communities. From assembling the library boxes to adding the finishing touches with colorful paint, the campers demonstrated the values of collaboration, creativity, and service that define the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) experience.
The project provided campers with more than just a hands-on activity—it gave them the opportunity to create a lasting impact by helping expand access to books and encourage a love of reading for children and families across the region.
This project would not have been possible without the generous support of the Rotary clubs that sponsored the library boxes. Their investment in both literacy and youth leadership empowered these young leaders to turn an idea into a tangible gift for the communities they serve.
