DG Bruce "Doing Good In The World" Foundation Mission
November is The Rotary Foundation month.  One of the missions of The Rotary Foundation is “To Do Good In The World.”  I feel very strongly that the Foundation does a great job at "Doing Good In The World!"  Where else for a small contribution to The Rotary Foundation each year can you wipe a horrible disease off the face of the Earth, provide clean water to families, reduce the amount of trash that flows into the oceans, work to eliminate cervical cancer in Egypt, educate the poor in Tanzania or provide mobility to those who don’t have access to wheelchairs? These are only a few of the huge projects you help fund each year as Rotarians.  YOU are Doing Good In The World!

Celebrating 55 Years of Service: Honoring George McDonald's Rotary Legacy
Last week, Luverne, MN Rotary Club proudly celebrated George McDonald's incredible 55-year Rotary anniversary with a golf-themed social! It was a memorable evening honoring George’s remarkable service and dedication to Rotary. Reflecting on his journey, George shared how Rotary has enriched his life through meaningful friendships, impactful networking, and invaluable experiences. Tanzania School of St. Jude Visits our District
The Rotary Club of Custer, South Dakota, proudly donated $1,000 at a school fundraiser hosted by the Rushmore Rotary Club of Rapid City. Adding a bit of humor, one member contributed some leftover Tanzanian currency from a recent trip.  This represented one of several stops for our School of St. Jude visitors!

Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bed Build and Donation
The Watertown Rotary Club collected donations from it’s members and also made a donation from the club to finance the 15 beds they were able to build with Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
Sibley Fall Fundraiser
Just in time for the holidays!!! Sibley Rotary Club is selling pecans. Bags are $13 or 2 for $25. All proceeds go towards Rotary Projects!
Downtown Serves at Feeding South Dakota
Downtown Rotarians had a great time serving alongside each other at Feeding South Dakota this week. Feeding SD serves 66 counties and provided 11.7 million meals to those struggling with food insecurity last year. We enjoyed the opportunity to volunteer and make an impact within our community!
Empowering Artisans: Whiteclay Makerspace Global Grant Success!
Exciting News! The Rushmore Rotary Club's Global Grant for the Whiteclay Makerspace is now completed and officially closed! With over $58,000 in support, we’ve equipped native artists with essential tools, supplies, and education to master their craft and launch their own businesses.

Sioux City's Student of the Month

Chance Riley, a senior at Sioux City West High School, has been selected as the November 2024 Rotary Club Student of the Month. He will be honored during the Rotary Club meeting on Monday, November 11, 12 p.m. at the MidAmerican Energy Community Room.

Mobridge's 20th Year Selling Roses 
The Mobridge Rotary just completed its 20th year of Roses for Rotary project. This year, again the club sold 400 dozen roses with one gentleman buying roses for himself and then giving the club a $100 donation saying he wants us to continue doing what we do

Donning hard hats and protective eyewear, Rotary West members volunteered at a Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls work site on Saturday morning, October 5, 2024. The work site was an older home in the Whittier neighborhood that Habitat for Humanity has acquired and is rehabbing.

Sioux Falls South Rotary Raises Awareness for Polio

Sioux Falls Rotary South members came together with the community of Harrisburg at Lake Ole Park to build awareness of polio as this week features World Polio Day. Tuesday, the group held its second annual “A Short Walk to End Polio Now” event to raise funds for the cause to support a polio-free future for everyone in the world.
