Pierre Ft. Pierre Rotary administers several scholarships that are given to graduates of Pierre Riggs and Stanley County High Schools. A grand total of $17,250 is being awarded, $3,000 to college students and $14,250 to high school seniors.

The Yankton Rotary Club once again teamed up with the Yankton Medical Clinic for their annual Bike Helmet Day, a community initiative aimed at promoting bike safety among local youth. The event, held this spring, provided every second grader in the Yankton School District with a brand-new, properly fitted bicycle helmet.
The Sioux Falls Downtown Rotary Club continues to make a lasting impact on the community with its recent project to install bike racks along the city's popular bike paths. Four new bike racks have been strategically placed at key locations, ensuring convenience and accessibility for cyclists enjoying Sioux Falls' beautiful outdoor spaces.
For over three decades, the Vermillion Rotary Club has partnered with the Vermillion Medical Clinic to champion a life-saving mission: providing free bicycle helmets to every second grader in the community.
In celebration of Earth Day, the Marshall Sunrise Rotary Club teamed up with the City of Marshall for a special community project aimed at enhancing local green space. Together, they planted six trees—each of a different variety—at Allegiance Park, symbolizing growth, environmental stewardship, and the power of partnership.
Rushmore Rotary members and their families rolled up their sleeves for Rapid City Cleanup Day, focusing their efforts near Stevens High School. With gloves on and trash bags in hand, the team collected litter and debris to help beautify the area and demonstrate Rotary’s commitment to community service. It was a morning of teamwork, smiles, and visible impact—another example of Rotarians taking action to create lasting change in Rapid City!
Rapid City Rotary members rolled up their sleeves this past week to support the BH Works community garden project. Volunteers came together to dig, build, and install raised garden beds that will soon be used to grow fresh produce for local families.
Gary Kuchar of the Custer County Historical Society was the guest speaker at the April 7 meeting of the Custer County Commission. Kuchar spoke about some of the interesting history of the town, including bringing the actual rope and hood used in a hanging of an outlaw. Kuchar, left, is pictured with club president Rob.
