The Yankton Rotary Club once again teamed up with the Yankton Medical Clinic for their annual Bike Helmet Day, a community initiative aimed at promoting bike safety among local youth. The event, held this spring, provided every second grader in the Yankton School District with a brand-new, properly fitted bicycle helmet.
Each year, this collaborative effort ensures that children not only receive helmets but also learn the importance of wearing them every time they ride. Rotarians and medical staff were on hand to help fit helmets and educate students on the basics of bike safety.

The event is part of the club’s ongoing commitment to serving youth and promoting health and wellness in Yankton. Thanks to the generosity of both organizations and their volunteers, hundreds of second graders each year are given the tools and knowledge to ride safely.

Yankton Rotary is proud to support initiatives that protect and empower the next generation — one helmet at a time.
