The Rotary Club of Custer, South Dakota, proudly donated $1,000 at a school fundraiser hosted by the Rushmore Rotary Club of Rapid City. Adding a bit of humor, one member contributed some leftover Tanzanian currency from a recent trip. This represented one of several stops for our School of St. Jude visitors!
The true champions, however, are Pat Sutliff of the Rushmore Club and Gemma Sisia, founder of the school. Inspired by the school's positive impact, Michelle and her fellow club members were honored to support it and to have him present the donation. The real story lies in the school and the difference Rotary makes in supporting it.

Gathering in Sioux Falls Gemma Sisia, founder of the School of St Jude, visited our district from October 24 to 27. She spoke at gatherings in Sioux Falls, Brookings, Pierre and Rapid City. People from 14 Rotary Clubs attended her presentations. Our district sponsors 40 students at the school.
