The Peace Pole bears the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in four languages—English, Lakota, German, and Japanese—with one language featured on each side. By installing the Peace Pole at Storybook Island, Rushmore Rotary hopes visitors of all ages will be inspired by its message and reminded that even small acts can make a meaningful difference in creating a more peaceful world.
