It’s that exciting time of year again when we, as Rotarians, reach out to high school sophomores and juniors in our communities to encourage them to apply for the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA). Students will be able to apply from February 15 – March 31, 2025.
Instead of merely asking students if they would like to apply to RYLA—a camp that may be unfamiliar to them—consider collaborating with band, orchestra, or choir teachers, as well as robotics or debate coaches. Together, you can identify a few students and inform them that they have been personally selected to apply for this incredible and transformative leadership camp. Feedback from students indicates that they are significantly more interested in applying for RYLA when approached in this manner.
