Rapid City Rotary Club sent Rotarian Dr. Ashok Kumar to Uganda this month to provide education to improve health care in remote villages in Uganda. Text Books for the health care workers, medical equipment and supplies were also sent to clinics in five villages
A two day conference was conducted for Medical Providers with faculty from US and India participating by Zoom. Dr. Kumar went to Uganda in person with Derek Swain, a Critical Care Flight Paramedic from Rapid City, to conduct the training. Ashok and Derek also visited five clinics in remote rural areas to see patients and to train clinic staff.
