The Pierre-Fort Pierre Rotary Club recently rolled up their sleeves to support the Boys & Girls Club’s efforts to provide free meals for local children in need.

Rotarian Tom Tveit grew the corn on his and Mary’s farm and organized an impressive three-day volunteer effort to bring in the harvest. Teams of Rotarians and friends took on every role—from early morning pickers and shuckers to the “ninja knife wielders” cutting kernels off the cob and baggers packaging it all up for distribution.
Thanks to their teamwork and generosity, the Boys & Girls Club now has fresh, local corn ready to serve to hungry kids in the community. It’s another great example of Rotary members living out “Service Above Self” and ensuring no child goes without a meal.
