Joe Lichter, District Chair for New Club Development, has laid out an Action Plan that he is following to grow clubs. See his outline below.
• Gather Rotary material on club development
o Application Process o Types of Clubs
o Extension Clubs (a.k.a. satellite clubs, companion clubs)
• Evaluate o Look for clubs that could benefit from the different options.
▪ Initial focus is on extension clubs o Solicit leadership for any clubs that may be looking to expand or change the club structure.
• Reach Out and Assist o Reach out to all club Presidents and Membership chairs on the club options
▪ Contact via email and/or phone calls
▪ Provide any resources available
▪ Assist with any training or club discussions
o Discuss this at the district conference (formally and/or informally)
o Assist with the application process through Rotary and our District o Align with D5610 Membership committee
▪ Share resources
• Track Progress
o Follow-up on any interested clubs
o Track any issues, obstacles, progress, shortcomings, etc.
o Summarize program to District
