The Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club continues to demonstrate what it means to be #PeopleOfAction. Recently, club members partnered with Lunch Is Served, Inc., a local nonprofit dedicated to providing nutritious mid-day meals to the working poor in the Sioux Falls community.

Together, Rotarians helped bag and deliver more than 200 lunches, ensuring individuals facing food insecurity received a healthy meal and a reminder that their community cares.
Lunch Is Served operates on a simple but powerful formula: volunteers plus donations equal meals delivered. The organization relies heavily on community capacity — individuals, families, businesses, and service organizations stepping up to make a direct impact.
For Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary, this hands-on project was more than just packing lunches. It was an opportunity to live out Rotary’s commitment to service above self and address an immediate, tangible need in their own backyard.
For those looking for a meaningful and high-impact way to serve — whether as an individual, a family, or a team — supporting Lunch Is Served is a simple and impactful way to make a difference.
Through partnerships like this, Rotary continues to strengthen communities one act of service at a time.
