Happy Holidays to everyone and thank you for all you do as Rotarians!  We are getting ready to start the second half of the Rotary year.  Some of my plans for the rest of the year is to meet with the presidents in January to see how the clubs are doing.  I hope the presidents will make an effort to attend.

I have been talking with a number of clubs about starting a  companion club and a number of clubs have followed through.  We are seeing some great results and maybe not as hard as was anticipated.  There are countless innovators in our communities who share our value of Service Above Self.  We simply need to give them an opportunity to engage with us.  Some of these innovators can’t make a noon meeting so giving them another time to choose from works well.  If you have any questions about starting a companion club please contact Joe Lichter; joejlichter@gmail.com; or me.

I am working on next year’s President Elect Learning Seminar, on April 26, and the District Conference, TBD.  If you have any suggestions or comments on them, I would appreciate hearing from you.

I would like to close by thanking all District 5610 Rotarians for their contributions of time and resources towards making a difference across the world in 2024.

Wishing you and your families and friends a joyous holiday season!

Bruce Nearhood
District Governor 2024-25

Finally, remember the Action Plan and the four priorities:  Increase Our Impact; Expand Our Reach; Enhance Participant Engagement and Increase Our Ability to Adapt.  Please consider discussing these priorities in the New Year and how you can focus on them to make your club totally Irresistible!!
