Donning hard hats and protective eyewear, Rotary West members volunteered at a Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls work site on Saturday morning, October 5, 2024. The work site was an older home in the Whittier neighborhood that Habitat for Humanity has acquired and is rehabbing.
Upon completion, it will be sold to a family unable to afford a house on the conventional housing market. Rotary Club of Sioux Falls West volunteers assisted with re-siding the home and doing other outside construction work. A group from the Knights of Columbus also helped with construction that day. The fall weather was beautiful, camaraderie flourished, and we left with a sense of accomplishment and perhaps a few sore muscles. - Martin Oyos, Rotary Club of Sioux Falls West member.
